Note: CME comprised of two parts seen to the east and southeast in SOHO LASCO imagery and to the south/southwest in STEREO A COR2 imagery; the bulk appears to be directed mainly to the east whereas the fainter shock is seen to the southeast; potentially the CME is made up of two separate eruptions that occur near simultaneously. This measurement generally focuses on the faster, southeastern component as observed from SOHO LASCO. Moving field lines seen off the southeastern limb in GOES SUVI 284 suggest this eruption is far-sided.
